Geoinformatics / Geoinformatics engineer

The aim of the course

To train well-prepared professionals, who are familiar with the latest international and national professional achievements in geodesy and spatial information technology, capable of carrying out tasks in various fields of the profession, and who are able to work at a high standard independently. This includes the design and operation of all IT systems underpinning engineering design, urban planning and zoning, environmental protection, utility management and record-keeping support, and support for heritage conservation.

The acquired knowledge will enable them to solve practical, operational tasks in geoinformatics. As a member of the UNIGIS international network, the training provides access to state-of-the-art geoinformatics and image processing software.

Title of the qualification or diploma

For graduates with an engineering degree (BSc/MSc), “geoinformatics engineer specialisation”

The title for non-engineers is: “geoinformatics specialist”.

Who can apply for the training?

Engineers, researchers and teachers with a degree in engineering, agriculture, science or technology.
