Two of our colleagues from the Alba Regia Technical Faculty of Óbuda University (Verőné Dr. Wojtaszek Malgorzata and Petőné Dr. Csuka Ildikó) were able to visit the Technische Hochschule Wildau in Germany as members of the delegation from the different faculties of Óbuda University (AMK, BGK, KVK) after being chosen for the project.
The Rector of TH-Wildau, Prof. László Ungvári gave us a hearty welcome together with all of the lecturers and associates of the institute in Wildau and arrenged an excellent program for the Hungarian colleagues. We were given the possibility to take part in English-speaking lectures and seminars on BSc and MSc level and to have an insight into the incentive system and quality management of the German institute with the help of Prof. Ulrike Tippe Vice-Educational Rector. We even visited the university library of Wildau, which won the title „Best library of 2012”. Prof. László Ungvári took us to the Hungarian Embassy in Berlin where we were greeted by Eszter Pászti-Márkus, Academic and Research Attaché.
In Wildau we had a look at the WinLab laboratory, where the students, the teachers and the researchers can experiment with the help of 3D printers and the activity of the surgical instrument laboratory was also disclosed for us. Testing the airplane simulator was an exceptional experience for us.
The structure of the BSc and MSc courses (Martin Bradbeer and Prof. Rainer Stollhoff) was shown to us as part of the sharing information on the educational process. We agreed on the strengthening of our relationship in the future both in the field of research and education. Our mutual aims are:
- facilitating student and lecturer mobility,
- joint training or dual degree ,
- joint researching activities in the futu
„Basically I was curious about the operation of the higher educational institute and the experiences of our colleagues abroad. They were most helpful and cooperative; we had a lot of open and friendly discussions about situations which are sometimes the same, sometimes different from our experiences.”
The next phase will be the visitation of TH-Wildau’s Rector, Prof. László Ungvári in May!
