On June 5, the EUPED Carpathian Basin Teachers’ Day celebration was held, during which university awards were traditionally presented. This year, five staff members of the Alba Regia Faculty of Obuda University received prestigious recognitions.

The Obuda University Medal of Honour was awarded to

  • Dr. habil. Andrea Pődör, in recognition of her high-level leadership in managing the Institute of Geoinformatics, her outstanding role in education and international research, as well as her efforts in developing international relations and building the academic community.
  • Prof. Dr. György Györök, for more than twenty-five years of excellence in teaching based on student success, his industry-oriented research and development activities, and his effective work as dean.

The Obuda University Memorial Ring was awarded to

  • Dr. habil. Monika Pogátsnik, for her work in ensuring the sustainability and development of dual education, strengthening Central Asian relations, and for her outstanding leadership at the Alba Regia Faculty, innovative approach, and commitment to the university.
  • Dr. Márta Éva Seebauer, for her contributions to teaching, supporting student progress, mentoring the next generation of lecturers, and for her professional work in advancing the university’s educational portfolio.

A Rector’s Commendation was awarded to

  • Prof. Dr. Tamás Jancsó, in recognition of his work in launching the MSc programme in Geoinformatics and the postgraduate specialist training programme for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operators, as well as for his high-quality teaching activities.
