The aim of the training is:
The aim of the training is to present the achievements of modern technologies and their integration into precision farming. The training is practice-oriented, i.e. in addition to the necessary theoretical knowledge, the emphasis is on practical applications and the acquisition of modern technologies at skill level. In this context, the student will learn about the tools for data collection, data sources and methods of data evaluation needed to support spatial decision making. The course also aims at providing a practical introduction into the whole process of thematic information extraction, from planning and extraction to the integration of results into decision making. The practical part of the training will include demonstrations of precision machines, sensors and UAV flights for data extraction. The training will conclude with an analysis of the impact of precision farming and a presentation of the environmental, sustainability and economic benefits.

The name of the qualification in the diploma:
“precision farming specialist engineer” for graduates with an engineering degree (BSc/MSc), “precision farming specialist” for non-engineers.

The participants are
engineers, researchers and teachers with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering,
agriculture or natural sciences.

Training duration and fees
Training duration 3 semesters, 240 contact hours in total, 90 credits.
 Tuition fee per semester HUF 220,000 / semester.

Application for the course is made by
downloading and sending the application form, the formal admission procedure is completed by filling in the enrolment form.
 Application deadline: 15 September for courses starting in September, 10 February 2024 for courses starting in February.

The system of assessment of knowledge:
subjects end with an examination or a mid-year mark or a signature. The conditions for passing the examination vary from subject to subject: written, practical and individual assignments are possible. The examination may be written or oral. During the second and third semesters, a thesis must be written and, after obtaining the diploma, it must be defended in the final examination and a final examination must be passed in the final subjects.

Form of training:

The training is delivered in a correspondence format, but for each module we provide 2 or 3 days of consultation, which are on Thursday (only occasionally), Friday and Saturday. More information on the modules is given in the attached information leaflets.
