The aim of the training is:
The aim of the training is to train engineers who, after having acquired a high level of scientific and specific technical knowledge related to the field of informatics, can design new IT systems and tools, develop, and integrate IT systems, perform, and coordinate R&D tasks in the field of informatics, and continue their studies in the framework of a PhD.
The Master’s program in Computer Engineering is primarily based on interdisciplinarity. Interdisciplinary disciplines are based on information sciences, and their advancement worldwide has been achieved through an appropriate combination of computer engineering disciplines. The Master of Computer Engineering at Alba Regia University of Technology offers students three dynamic specializations, combining the practical orientation required by industry with the theoretical knowledge required for research and development.

The Geoinformatics specialization aims to train engineers who can interpret spatial phenomena, processes, and spatial information related to geographical location, based on basic and practical knowledge in science, mathematics, informatics, and computer science. They can perform problem-solving, design, development, operation, management, and consultancy tasks in the fields of geoinformation systems, decision support systems, and expert systems.
The Production Support Data Analysis specialisation aims to train IT professionals to understand and manage different types of data and complex data sets, recognize their relationships, draw conclusions, and model the real world. This area is becoming increasingly important today, as data-driven solutions are becoming more widespread in industrial process areas, including development, manufacturing, and maintenance.
The Mobile Application and Game Development specialization provides software developers with knowledge useful for academic research, education, and industry, in addition to the field of computer games. The computer games industry and mobile applications are key sectors of the information technology industry. Graphics solutions used in game development, VR tools, and software solutions, augmented reality tools and elements, and artificial intelligence elements and tools are part of the industrial solutions related to the Industry 4.0 concept, which are increasingly used in industrial design and development and data visualization.

Foundations of Science: 21 credits
Economic and Human Sciences: 10 credits
Professional Core: 28 credits
Differentiated Professional Knowledge: 25 credits
Optional subjects: 6 credits
Diploma thesis: 30 credits
Total: 120 credits.
Professional practice:
The traineeship must last at least 6 weeks (240 certified hours).
Foreign language requirements (for the diploma):
Requirements for the award of the degree: a state-recognized intermediate (B2) complex language examination or equivalent diploma or certificate in any foreign language in which computer science has a scientific vocabulary is required to award the Master’s degree. For students on a dual course, each period of study is followed by an in-company placement.
